Abel n’ Sons Ltd. Fixed Price Service Plan

Any words in this agreement that are in bold type are defined. Please see the Definition of words which explains the meaning of each defined term.

This plan is a contract between you and ANS. This plan is administered by the Administrator on behalf of ANS.

PLEASE READ THIS AGREEMENT AND YOUR SCHEDULE CAREFULLY (TO FOLLOW) AND IN FULL AS THEY CONTAIN ALL THE DETAILS OF YOUR ANS MOT CHECK & OR REPAIR PLAN. Please note in particular the following;

ANS Service Plan has been designed to help maintain your car with a schedule of essential servicing work. If your car has a main dealer Warranty this plan meets the servicing conditions. If your car is under a different warranty, you should check your terms and conditions to ensure that no additional servicing is needed to meet the warranty requirements. Any additional work needed is not covered under this plan and must be paid for by you.

Terms and Conditions

Services under this plan will be provided by Abel n’ Sons Ltd.

This plan will pay for two scheduled services, a full service and a major service, and will additionally cover the cost of two MOT test fees, for your vehicle from ANS, as detailed in your schedule. The first service and MOT test should be carried out at least twelve months after the start of this plan, and the second service and MOT test at least 12 months after that.

Provided you make each monthly prepayment on its due date as detailed in your schedule, and the scheduled services and MOT tests are carried out at 12 monthly intervals starting 12 months after the start date of the plan, then the pre-payments will meet the cost of the services and MOT tests. No credit is provided by this plan. If you fail to make any pre-payments, or if a service or MOT test is carried out earlier than scheduled, that is before 12 monthly pre-payments have been made, then there may not be enough money in the plan to pay for the service and MOT test. If this happens, you will be required to make a top-up payment directly to ANS who is providing the service and MOT test.

This plan will pay for the replacement of service parts, lubricants and labour as detailed in your schedule. It will not pay for any extra parts, lubricants and labour not detailed in your schedule. If extra parts, lubricants or labour are required you will be required to make a top-up payment direct to ANS who is providing the service and MOT test. Platinum spark plugs are not included within the service plan. The garage will offer these if and when required (as per manufacturer’s recommendations) at a supplement of £5 inclusive of Vat for each spark plug required. 

A monthly administration fee will be charged for each monthly direct debit payment received under the plan. If your plan is a 22 month plan this will be 90p per month. This is to cover the costs of setting up and administering your ANS Fixed Price Service Plan. The administration fees are non-refundable.

This plan is only available to persons who are acting for purposes which are outside their trade, business or profession.

This plan is subject to the laws of England.

Eligibility

You are an individual of, Great Britain, and

Your vehicle is a private car or light commercial vehicle registered in the UK and not exceeding 3.5 tonnes.

Please not the following vehicles and vehicle uses are NOT eligible

Any American make of vehicles unless it was manufactured as a right hand drive and purchased from an authorised UK distributor and not imported directly.

Grey imports, emergency vehicles, taxis, courier vehicles, buses, coaches, trucks, motorcycles, scooters, motor homes, trailers, heavy goods vehicles, licenced private hire vehicles, daily rental vehicles, breakdown and recovery vehicles.

Any vehicle which has been modified other than in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications.

Cancellations & Change of Vehicle

Should you wish to cancel this plan, you have the right to do so at any time by contacting the Administrator. The Administrator will stop collecting any pre-payments and provide details of your current plan balance which can be used for your future servicing needs with ANS.

If you do not want to use your balance for the servicing of your vehicle, you can request a refund of the plan balance from the Administrator. A cancellation fee of £15.00 will apply.

If you change your vehicle mid-term, please contact the Administrator, who will advise you of your options.

How to apply for a Service or MOT

Book your vehicle into ANS.

Provided you make each monthly prepayment on its due date as detailed in your schedule, and the service and MOT test are to be carried out after at least 12 monthly pre-payments have been made, then the pre-payments will meet the cost of the service and MOT test. If your MOT Test does not fall due at the same time as your service, this can be completed separately.

If you fail to make any pre-payments, or if the service or MOT test is to be carried out before at least 12 monthly pre-payments have been made, then may not will not be enough money in the plan to pay for the service and MOT test. If this happens, you will be required to make a top-up payment directly to Abel n’ Sons Ltd. who is providing the service and MOT test.

Data Protection and Marketing

The following notice is to ensure that you are updated about how Abel n’ Sons Ltd. as data controller is processing your personal data. 

Abel n’ Sons Garage will collect certain information about you to fulfil its services to you and to enable you to benefit from certain ANS products. This will include your name, contact details, information relevant to your vehicle and any other information you supply to us. Any information you provide to ANS while arranging services will be held via a secure portal and on receipt of the data, ANS will ensure this information is held securely. ANS may also need to share some of this data with those of its third party suppliers who supply or fulfil its products, including the Administrator. 

Your data will be processed for the purposes of delivering the plan to you, ensuring you are receiving services from ANS in compliance with our Code of Conduct and providing you with information and updates in respect of this plan and related products which are relevant to you.

Definitions 

Plan means the contract that is subject to the terms and conditions in this agreement and the schedule 

ANS / Abel n’ Sons Ltd. means a company with registered number 11090725 whose registered office is at Haugh Cottage East, Heath Road, Banham, Norfolk, NR16 2DG.

Schedule means the document containing important details about the plan, which must be read in conjunction with these terms and conditions.

Vehicle means the vehicle shown on the schedule.

You means the person named on the schedule.
